History

The 'Paul Jones Collection' was printed in Britain by Bakers, on two cotton fabrics and four glazed cotton chintzes. Jones created the designs in consultation with decorator Lesley Walford. Motifs included flannel flowers, gum nuts, gum blossom (the only design available in two colourways) and wattle. Fabrics from this collection were used in the rooms of the Hotel Intercontinental, Sydney and in vice regal residencies internationally. In September 1985 Ascraft launched a second range, 'Paul Jones II', slightly modified to keep costs down.
